This portfolio is meant to present my work and work flow. In the project section I present a series of diferent design work starting from the creation of logo and an imaginary domain. I chosen imaginary from different motives. Firstly, I wanted to represent my philosophy for design in this site, along with the choses made in all aspects, from colour to font pairing and elements used.Secondly, my real work porfolio is represented in most part of logos entere in auction competitions so very little follow design for them, and also a couple of websited that don't seem like great designing elements. Thirdly I wanted to experiment with different software and design pricnciples so those are the kind of projects that will be on this site. In the near future I will create another site or another section to showcase my work for the client in detail. So these site is here to present how I see the marketing design part of building a company and how different elements work as puzzles in the entire mix of marketing. Also my desire is to emphasize the importance of a logo and branding package to reviel a strong linked image of the company in front of it's different publics.
I'm a designer and i like to design . I love marketing and I love how a brand is shaped by it' image and how social relations are influenced by visual stimuls. I am in my early 30's, I went to University in my home town and residence town in Brasov. At Transilvania University I got my bachelor's degree in Social studies and communication. After the university, not finding myself a job in the advertising domain I used my limited photoshop skills to build myself an freelancer carrer. Starting on freelancer.com I shifted to many other freelencing platforms, mostly 99design.com or designcrowd.com to participate in auctions for logo design mostly. I worked in the past years on more than ten different freelancing platforms, doing graphic design, webdesign, data entry, and image retouching + other various odd jobs as a freelancer I resumed my past 9 years of my life like this.I started using corel draw in the first years to make my designs. After a while I shifted to adobe illustrator and photoshop for other work. In the last 5 years I used Xara designer Pro for various design jobs for it's flexibility and some neat features. In the last year I shifted on the affinity softwares, all three of them as I find the an alterantive close as in feautres as the adobe products. I like how Affinity Photo handles pictures, I like the workflow in designer and I feel that Publisher it's a powefull software for matterials, altough not using it much. I wass always pasionated by design and marketing and I feel that I have some sparks of creativity and ideeas. I like to solve projects, and I feel that I handle stress and deadlines reasonable, mainly because I respect my work in general and I respect all people and people that I work with in particular. I feel that the most important element of respect is to deliver quality material in time and have a satisfaction of 100% throughout the process for the client.
Design elements are the clothes in which a brand or product leaves it's home. They must be be clean materials, that writes a concise image of the brand and it's values, they must be asorted so all the elements must build to the image and must be recognizable for their audiances and embraced by the main category targeted by the company. Also these elements must be actual and a great fit for the brand that they surround. So my principles in these is offer the clients a thorough analyse of the product and where the pieces should fit and for whom. And for the company is vital as it's image to be perceived as intended and to be delivered to the intended audiences so for me it's crucial to create the design elements guided by this principles after a thorough analysis.
